Hello all.I would imagine that most of you are like me, busy professionals who do most of your lurking at work or when you have a free moment with the laptop.
As such, that doesn't always cater to the long drawn out discussions that sometimes come with a board, especially this board where everyone from the founder to even me (a lifetime lurker) can be a bit of a heavy wordsmith.
To that I introduce you to Quick Hits.As long as Om allows, I'll every so often pop in and ask for your "Top Three" in any given topic.
Short one sentance / small (and I emphasize small) paragraph answers to allow for quick parusal during a morning coffee or after dinner beverage.
TODAY'S QUICK HITS - SUPRISES / DISSAPOINTMENTS
What do you predict to be the biggest surprises / disappointments on the roster (current players only). Here are mine:
Surprises
-Rocky McIntosh
-Albert Haynesworth(not buying the hype, as much of what his presence alone does)
-Sleepy Davis
Disappointments
-JC (sorry gang, gut feeling)
-Devin Thomas
-Portis (I think his tank is running low)
*EDIT* I almost forgot, credit to Chris as it was his thread that initially inspired this idea. Thanks!

Thomas/Jansen - assuming they get through training camp uninjured (admittedly a bit "if" these days) I think the right side of the line is going to surprise people this year. Both were trying to recover from major injuries last year and really hadn't played ball in well over a year. I don't think either are as washed up as many think.
Zorn - think he learned a lot last year about both being an OC and a HC and he will apply it to this year and show solid improvement in both areas.
Golston/Montgomery - I think the addition of Big Al will make whoever man's the second T position a threat on nearly every play. Might do that for the whole of the Defensive Line but I am trying to "keep it medium" at this point.
Disappointments -
Hall - I hope I am wrong but I can't shake the feeling that when you get tossed off two teams in a matter of months there is a problem. And sure, he produces turn overs...but he also gives up big plays which is something this defense has accelled at NOT doing.
Special Teams - I think this team is just cursed when it comes to Teams. Part of it is how it drafts and part of it is chasing the big name which means giving up guys who contribute on Teams (Leigh Torrance anyone?).
Rinehart - Not sure this guy will ever see the field and if he does I think we might all be sorry.

DeAngelo Hall - The whole "He's a team cancer/overrated" debate will be put on hold for at least a year. He'll do well.
The O-Line - Everyone, from Jansen and Thomas to the back ups, will play better than expected (and feared lol).
Sean Suisham - He'll hover around the 90% accuracy point on field goals and bounce back from last year.
Disappointments:
The Strong Side LB spot - We really won't end up having anyone there worthy of noticing even if we draft for the position, and the LB until will suffer because of it.
Chris Horton - I'm fearing a sophomore slump, with next to no turnovers and more than a few blown coverages at inopportune moments.
The 2008 draft class - A few will improve (Thomas probably, Jackson and Kelly possibly), but we still probably won't see much immediate contribution from too many of them. Tryon and Rinehart may still end up rarely seeing the field, and Davis could once again be the #3 TE and getting limited playing time.
