I find it interesting when people who rail against the front office's selections say they wish the team had traded down for more picks.

Especially trading down with the first rounder, the one pick that they've historically done pretty well with.

Do we have a leader in the clubhouse for which Skins' draft pick is most likely to wash-out? How about a running back-turned-linebacker with minimal LB experience at the college level who made up a story about why his team suspended him...

Nebraska's Glenn admits ticket story was false

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Washington Redskins draft pick Cody Glenn has admitted that he lied when he told reporters that his suspension at Nebraska last season stemmed from his selling football tickets.

Glenn told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he made up the story about selling his tickets, which would have been a violation of NCAA rules. The fifth-round pick said he wanted to satisfy reporters and get them to quit asking him about the suspension.

The university athletic department told media outlets Monday that it had no knowledge of Glenn selling tickets.

Glenn says he went with the ticket story because he knew that was 1 of the rumors circulating about him.

He wouldn't disclose the real reason for his suspension, which kept him out of the last three games.

You make a good point but I think I addressed that. (see below) However, the implicit assumption with that and many other statements about our personnel strategy is "In a perfect world where we had a competent F.O. in place".
