I don't believe JC will ever be an elite QB...but he doesn't have to be for the skins to progress towards being a contender. Furthermore, good QB's can have elite seasons (ala Theisman and Rypien) if the pieces are in place. All I am hoping for is that JC develops into a good QB and has the good fortune to be surrounded by decent players and coaches. The upcoming season may well be the proving ground for this hope.
As a side note, it's interesting to realize that as a 75+ year old franchise, the Redskins have had only 2 real elite QB's (Sammy Baugh & Sonny Jurgenson). Maybe we'll get lucky...we're certainly due.
